Olivia Rodrigo Fans Brought Their Style A-Game to Her Sold-Out MSG Shows — See Photos

Olivia Rodrigo has sparked a very niche and particular fashion movement amongst her fans (a.k.a. Livies), and we saw much of it at her sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Since her musical breakout moment with “drivers license,” Olivia Rodrigo has been largely sartorially inspired by the Y2K resurgence and schoolgirl punk-rock fashion. We’ve seen her in plaid and pleated mini skirts aplenty, as well as micro baby tees and tank tops with catchy phrases written across the chest. Outside of her trademark style, Rodrigo has settled on the color purple as the base of her music identity, with both covers SOUR and GUTS leading with imagery including varying shades of lavender. (Yes, of course, while at her show at MSG, we were walking through a sea of purple outfits.)

Although she is no longer a Disney star, Rodrigo’s fanbase and their dedication to creating on-brand looks is reminiscent of the early 2000s OG days of Hannah Montana and The Cheetah Girls. We all wanted a blonde wig with front bangs just as much as we wanted to wear a cheetah print tracksuit.

While out in the purple swarm of fans preparing for a fun night of spilling their guts (not literally, hopefully), we saw sheer bat tights and “vampire”-coded Twilight memorabilia. There were also a ton of purple sequined skirts, tops, and cowboy hats with enough butterfly charms to go around, plus a bunch of Olivia Rodrigo music video cosplays — shout out to the “obsessed” and “all-american b*tch” stans; we see you.

From boots to hats to t-shirts, Olivia Rodrigo’s fans got the message, and we were there capturing it all. Below, see some of the fun fashion we saw during the first night of Olivia Rodrigo’s sold-out GUTS tour dates in NYC.
